Last summer my husband, my dog, and I packed up the car and hit the road for a cross-country road trip to Canada! We are both really active, and a big part of the trip was for my husband, Will, to bike in some of the most coveted spots in the country and Canada. (Am I a great wife or what?!)
I LOVE travel, so I was so excited to plan this trip, AND I know how travel can disrupt your wellness routine. Road trips typically mean a lot of fast food and little physical movement. So when Will and I decided to take the trip, I was set on maintaining our mental and physical health.
Over 24 days, we drove from Virginia to BC, Canada, successfully avoided fast food, and consistently achieved over 6,000 steps each day driving. I truly think taking care of our physical health helped us enjoy our trip and time on the road as much as possible!
In Episode 86 of How the Wise One Grows podcast, we share all the tips for feeling your best while traveling-- including how I successfully got Will onboard to not stop for fast food! AND I created a packing list full of all the snacks and supplies you need to make your road trip as seamless as possible!
Here are the top 10 Road Trip Snacks that I would not get in the car without for next time! These are great for healthy snacks that will help you feel good and are helpful so you don't have to stop for fast food.
